Shelby Borys Photography
In the past, I kept my work life as predictable and simple as possible, blinding me to my worth and true value. When I chose to focus my life on becoming an exceptional photographer, work became more meaningful. Training and employment roles pushed me beyond how I saw and knew myself. I soon learned that if I wanted to continue pursuing this profession, I would need to advocate for intentionally-designed photography and forge my own business.
I haven't always been capable of practicing good photography. The size and scale of requirements to be a photographer took years to explore, develop, and understand where my distinct style fit in. What I have been exposed to in this business has laid a firm foundation in best practices, and has been accelerated by the instant feedback provided by digital technology.
My discipline has evolved through real-world experience, mechanical and optical rules, sensors, microchips, and operating systems that have forever changed the art of photography.
Today, I find that problems are outnumbered by solutions. Each contract allows me to leverage years’ worth of professional knowledge to easily recommend the right options, acknowledging the impact of smart phones, point and shoot cameras, a global culture of social media and selfie-sticks - to better connect with my customers through my business.
They say that if you're not happy on the way to achieving your goals, then you likely won't be happy when you finally do. A big part of what keeps me enthusiastic each day is that, not only do I get to be a photographer, but I get to meet and work with the stars I choose. Stars like you...
